Each slide focuses on a different element of Grammar and Punctuation, enabling the children to get to grips with how to use each element.
Included in this activity:
- nouns and proper nouns
- adjectives, verbs, adverbs, prepositions
- using ? ! and .
- commas in a list
- synonyms and antonyms
- clauses (relative and subordinate)
- difference between commands and questions
- present and past tense
- direct and reported speech
- suffixes and prefixes
- active and passive voice in sentences
Daily practice will ensure that children grasp all of these elements. With the presentation editable on PowerPoint, simply change the elements each day that you want to work on, and a brand new lesson is created simply, quickly and efficiently.
This resource is great for whole class teaching on the Interactive Whiteboard, but can also be developed into an assessment format by printing the slides, enabling children to have their own mini-assessment booklet. Both have worked brilliantly in my own classroom.
