This is a deep breathing tool where student use a card with a flower on one side and a candle on the other side. Students pretend to smell a flower, flip the card, and blow out candles. Cards can be laminated for more durability. There is a sheet with photographs than can be used or students can create their own. Students can draw their own picture or glue on pictures. I like to add the element of smell for my students. I have them use scented markers and glue on cotton balls with essential oils and/or scratch and sniff stickers. These can be made in a social skills or special education class then used as a sensory or calming tool.
