Behaviour Management Strategy! I really really really love using this with my class and they respond so well to it.
I choose the reward at the beginning and the game board to match it. I then choose a behaviour or something that I would like the children to work on. For example, if I want the children to improve on being quiet during independent work I will share with the children that to earn the next letter I am looking for silent/whispering/quiet work during independent tasks. If this is complete to the expected standard I would choose a child from the lollipop sticks to choose a number from the board and I will place that letter onto our ‘Spell it Out’ board. With older classes I often use Irish words for the reward words.
