Activities teach and reinforce 14 spelling rules to assist the reading and pronouncing of the letter a. Each spelling pattern is represented by 12 words with matching pictures to create a visual and auditory imprint.
The picture (image) and its name (word) helps to recall each spelling pattern (word, pattern, concrete image). As the brain attends better to patterns than to single random like letters, the words grouped on the basis of the same pattern and joined with the real image (picture), will be learned faster and more thoroughly.
Part 1 - choose and write the correct word under each picture.
Part 2 - Join the words with the pictures and write the words under the pictures.
Part 3 - Choose and write the correct words for each picture.
Part 4 - Find and enter the rhyming words.
Part 5 - Complete the sentences with the correct words.
The workbook is using Queensland Cursive font.
