These activities are suitable for students of all ages as well as differentiated classes as students can complete these activities with their own word lists. This particularly suits students who learn best from visually, logically and games-based activities,
These activities can be used as a focus lesson once a week when students are given new sets of words to learn.
Divide the class into three groups including a mix of spelling standards. In the first lesson, group 1 complete the blue activities, group 2 the green and group 3 the yellow. Then rotate the groups the following lesson so that group 1 will complete the green activities and the following lesson group 1 complete the yellow, etc. I usually give the students about 15 minutes to complete each activity and it generally takes a whole lesson.
