A fun activity to play with your class or with a group of pupils.
Can be played individually or in pairs/groups.
80 spelling bee cards (ranging in difficulty but aimed at upper primary level). Each card contains a word and definition. These cards should be printed out and laminated - page one contains front covers to the card so should be printed multiple times so each card has a front and back.
Place the cards face down and take turns to pick and call a card, children must try to get correct spelling in order to win the card. Can be used in many other ways, simply choose how it works best for the children taking part.
This game encourages correct spelling and also helps with definition, i am sure it will also introduce a few new words to their vocabulary.
Examples of words contained in this pack: notice, survive, question, centre, biggest, fnished, camped, grabbed, emergency, beautiful, woderful, destination, together + many more.
Cards are split into 2 colours; yellow and black; the black cards tend to be a little harder and could therefore be worth more points.
