Spelling Bonus Points: Teeth

Teaching Spelling: Spelling Bonus Points Tickets for Student Motivation: Your Spelling Effort Makes Me Smile. These cute little tickets are great reinforcement during spelling lessons. These cute little tickets featuring smiling teeth are also a perfect addition to dental health unit/theme.

The students receive these tickets in recognition for hard work that they do in trying to master the words (rather than just the grade they get on the test).  

It can be a great motivation to be noticed for the hard work being put in on the way to mastering spelling words. .  

The tickets could also be used for a raffle system of motivation. As a student uses his/her ticket, it is placed in a collection box or collection jar, and then at intervals, a ticket is drawn from the collection container. The students whose names are drawn may choose a reward from a box. I have used rewards from the Oriental Trading Catalog or a dollar store for my reward box.
