Description
This resource contains:
- A spelling choice board based on Bloom’s taxonomy
- Choice board cards to print and laminate for display
- Worksheets (backline masters) for the choice activities
- Stamp card
- Blank cards and choice board if you wish to make your own alterations
I use this choice board for fast finishers in our spelling block. It is based on Bloom’s taxonomy so the best part is that students are practicing their spelling words using higher order thinking skills!
The following cards are placed up in our word work corner and students are free to independently choose and complete an activity in their spelling books where their weekly spelling lists are glued in.
Activities are rated with a star depending on the complexity of the thinking skill involved. Students come to me with their stamp card for a star stamp once they have completed a task. They are motivated to attempt more complex thinking skills because they earn more star stamps!
Contains U.S. and British English spelling.
