Print, copy and assemble these Interactive Spelling Dictionaries for your students to keep in their writing folders. As you introduce your mini-lessons about "Tools Writers Use"...you will gift your students with their very own individual My Interactive Spelling Dictionary.
Direction are given to demonstrate the "interactiveness" of trying to teach and show students how to try and spell new words. Internal motivation for a student's spelling "effort" is built-in to the use of the books.
These student dictionaries can be used in any classroom where students are learning to write, spell and navigate print. If you are a Common Core classroom, this tool supports the Phonics and Word Recognition strand of Foundational Skills for ELA, as well as the Conventions of Standard English strand of Language for ELA. (Actual standards listed above).
This is a stand-alone product, BUT the clipart used in this product is also the clipart used in my Class Alphabet Set, however, it is not needed in order to use these books, I just wanted to let you know in case you wanted to pick those up, too.
