This game makes it more fun to learn and think about Spelling! An independent activity for small groups or pairs.
It will cater for all levels of ability, as each child is using their own individual Spelling list. Great activity for literacy groups.
There are 8 different boards; which I print approx A5. Instructions printed on the back and laminate. Connect with a ring or store in plastic bag with marker and die. Ready to use!
Children love the variety of this game, and it makes learning spelling fun, instead of a chore! This game encourages children to look at the words, count syllables and letters, think and give clues for meanings, synonyms, antonyms etc. So it increases vocabulary and thinking about the words too.
This works well as a Spelling/Language group activity or for parents to liven up the chore of learning that weekly Spelling List .
I sometimes use a board on my Homework sheet.
A parent and student can play. The parent uses the student’s list of words, or words from previous lists, as this reinforces and revises.
A fantastic resource for classroom teachers, casual teachers, tutors, parents and homeschoolers.
