This is a collection of 84 spelling lists for the primary levels. I made the lists based off of Words Their Way spelling patterns. It correlates with the Primary Spelling Inventory.
It ranges all the way from
Each list contains ten spelling words for the week.
*At the bottom of the spelling list there is an attached sort to go with the list. This is a proven method to help students learn spelling/sound patterns.
I have my students do spelling activities with the words throughout the week, then on Friday they sort their words. For example if they are working with the Long O (oa and ow), they would sort them by oa and ow. This helps them recognize the patters within the words.
This is a huge set that includes 84 spelling lists with their corresponding sort. I have put two spelling lists to a page, to help cut down on paper copies. You can run off the copies and then cut them in half to give to your students. It helps you not do the same spelling words for the class, this way you can individualize your spelling words.
Even if you don't use Words Their Way, you can use these spelling lists because they correspond with different phonics sounds. I use the words and sorts in small groups as well to talk about their spelling words, which typically correspond with their phonics level.
