Spelling Menu 2
Complete with Independent Study Agreement between student and teacher, here is Part 2 of the Something Different to Try Spelling Menu to be used in place of the usual spelling assignments. This generic menu study extends learning and retention through activities based on Bloom’s Taxonomy, Gardner’s Multiple Intelligences, Creative Productive Thinking, and Sandra Kaplan’s Depth and Complexity icons. It allows for differentiation for all students through Pace, Process, and Product Choice and can be used as an extension for all students or as an alternate assignment for students who have been pre-tested and have demonstrated mastery. You can use it as a tic-tac-toe board, assign a required number of activities, or allow free choice.
Try it. You and your students just might like it. It’s Something Different to Try.
