This product contains 45 spelling practice printables that can be used with any spelling list. These work well for my second graders. The packet has a good mix of challenge levels, and could be used for first or third grade as well, depending on student ability levels. Please note that none of the writing spaces within these pages include a dotted middle line. The pages are designed to be used with a list of 10 spelling words. Of the 45 pages, one page has students pick six words from their list to work with. Three other pages encourage students to use as many of their spelling words as they can. The remaining 41 pages allow students to practice using all ten words. This product was designed to give students a weekly spelling practice booklet of five pages to complete, not including the cover page. The same five pages are reused weekly for one month. With this system, students will need some direction the first week of each month but should be able to work independently during the remaining weeks. When each new month begins, students are introduced to five new pages. The pages are decorated with monthly themes. I have included an additional section in this file that contains all pages in black line, with no seasonal clipart, unless the clipart is used as part of the activity. This addition gives you freedom to use many of the pages at any time during the year. I have also included an additional option for the booklet cover page. Students can write their weekly spelling words on the booklet cover found in this file, or you can print the covers for your students with the lists already in place. I have included a separate file of editable booklet covers for this purpose. To use this option, you will need Microsoft PowerPoint. Simply open the file “editable cover pages,” click in the space that says, “Click to add text,” and type (or copy and paste) your spelling list. It’s that easy! The pages can be used in a variety of ways. My students complete a page in their booklet daily as part of a center rotation. The only additional materials required to use these pages are dice, highlighters, crayons, and pencils. I have tried to give a detailed description of what is included. Please ask if you have additional questions.
