Spelling Patterns Assessment FREE - Whimsy Workshop Teaching

This is a set of pages I use often for assessment in my primary classroom to test knowledge of the following:

*Short vowels
*Long vowels
*R-Controlled Vowels
*Dipthongs
*Digraphs
*Trigraphs
*Compound Words
*Magic E words

These words are spread over 5 pages, and can be used in a spelling test format, or in small group settings as well. There is also a blank page template and an assessment overview to use for each student to see which spelling patterns have not yet been mastered.

I hope you find this useful as the school year begins, before each reporting period, during small group assessment or even for parent interviews and goal setting.
