PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

This is a 2 part activity assessing spelling and high frequency words in the Scott Foresman Reading Series - 2nd Grade. The high frequency word activity is a paragraph with a short story in which students must fill in the blanks, using a word bank (promise, minute, everybody, door, brought, behind, sorry) - these high frequency words come from the story A Turkey for Thanksgiving. The spelling activity uses a review of the spelling words covered in various stories up until this point in the school year (serve, cube, excited, smiling, whale, breeze, probably, beautiful, brave, bunch, wasn't, purse, blaze, though, and stream) in which students are given 7 fill in the blank sentences, and must select a word from the word bank that best completes the sentence.
