A four page Notebook activity for learning to identify when to double the last letter before adding a suffix. This is a great and motivating notebook that compliments other classroom activities. Clear instructions on each page explaining what to do. Gives examples of what not to do as well as what to do. On page one students place the base words into the correct vortex for either doubling the last letter on not. On page two they need to identify the eight balloons that need the last letter doubled and pop them without making any mistakes. On page three students grab a word and either drag it into the bin, if the last letter doesn't need to be doubled or place it in the columns if they do. On the final page the students colour in black behind the words they think need the last letter doubled. When all the words are coloured send the colour to the back and the suffixes magically appear.
