This spelling resource was designed to be used for extra spelling practice leading up to test day. Great to use as a center, as spelling homework, or just daily with your spelling lesson!
I use this weekly in my learning support classroom, due to my students having different lists, or even amount of words, on their weekly spelling lessons!
Students, or you the teacher, should keep track of this resource daily during each week, in order to insure reinforcement of the weekly spelling words.
There are 5 different versions (Version A – Version E) created, so that each student will not complete the same three in a row each week! 5 version are in color, and 5 version are in black & white. There is also one color and black & white "board" that were created for you to customize on your own!
- color and black & white "folder tags" for your students to write their names on and tape to a folder
...all spelling work is kept neatly in a folder!
- easy, print & go worksheets to use with the boxes on each spelling board
...each worksheet is made for 5, 10, 15, 20, and 25 word lists!
This resource was designed to be implemented over a three day period each week, leading up to the day of the spelling test.
Monday is an introduction to the spelling words.
Tuesday - Thursday would be when this resource is implemented.
Thursday is the spelling pre-test.
Monday - Wednesday would be when this resource is implemented.
*When I use this in my classroom, the students have their own Spelling Tic-Tac-Toe folders. For each new lesson they keep their “boards” in their folder all week long, as well as the work they had completed for each square they marked with an “X.” On test day I check their folders. Each student who got a tic-tac-toe receives a bonus point on their test.
