Looking for a great way to introduce your weekly spelling list? Use the "Try, Copy, Spell" method! For each word, students will "try" to spell it, "copy" the way that it's spelled (this is where you spell it on the board), then they cover what they wrote and spell on their own. Students can then check the word they spelled on their own to see if they got it. This helps students know which words they really need to practice, and helps you know which students already know their words. Great activity for the first day working with spelling words!
Included are 2 different printable sheets: 1 with 12 lines for shorter lists, and 1 with 25 lines for longer lists.
