Running out of time for teaching vocabulary? This is a fabulous way to teach students one word a day and meet vocabulary and speaking skills as they apply to the Common Core.
In this program the teacher will assign one word to each student and the student is asked to present their word (via meaningful, fun and engaging activities they create and present). The idea is, students present one word a day. All students write the daily word and the meaning (or helpful notes to assist in remembering the word) in their writers notebook. At the end of each week, students are assessed on their 5 words of the week. Their are various ways you can assess for understanding of the word. Easy! Fabulous! Fun!
