This pack pack includes only the years 3 & 4 word lists.
These lists are designed to be cut up into flashcards.
An effective method is to attach them to a binder ring and test pupils individually, spelling the words out loud.
If the word is spelt correctly they get a tick. When the word gets three ticks, it is ripped off and the children can do what they like with them (take them home, rip them up, etc). Any other words pupils find tricky and/or words from subsequent lists can be added to their ‘word ring’. (I usually ask students to select 10 words from their word ring to practise at home as their spelling list homework - this tends to make it more meaningful for them.)
(Printing these on different colours is a quick way of knowing which list a pupil is working on.)
A checklist is included to keep track of the pupil’s progress.
