Use this resource in combination with any lessons about spiders. Great for early finishers, small group, special education or occupational therapy groups. Included are a spider to label and answer key, roll a spider drawing activity and scrambled sentence cards and a worksheet with answer key. Some prep is required for the scrambled sentences.
Label a spider: Print copies for each student. Students can complete the worksheet using the model, writing in the correct answers or by cut and paste.
Roll a Spider: Print and laminate several boards for students to work in groups. Copy the drawing page so that each student has a paper. Students roll a die to see what part of the spider they will draw first. Their visual perceptual skills will be tested if they need to draw legs, before the abdomen or cephalothorax. Students can roll again if they roll the same number or pass the die to the next person. Roll until all students have completed their drawings.
Scrambled sentences: Cut up and laminate several sets of sentence cards for durability. Copy worksheets for each student. Students sort and arrange the cards into sentences then copy their sentences on to the worksheet. I also use these for keyboarding practice. To add a motor component have sentence cards on the floor, students can jump back to the cards to get a new stack to arrange and copy.
