Product Description
Adding & subtracting are big concepts for our students to get and understand, so what better way to do it than with these cute spiders on a spider web. Your students will spin the spinner and cover the spiders (subtraction) or add more spiders (addition) then record their equation on the recording sheet.

Whether they are just learning and understanding or practice their skills this activity will make a great center or guided math activity. You can easily differentiate by which spinner you provide, which skill and how many cards they use.

The spider web and spiders help your students to see the equation by either covering up spider for subtraction or adding more spiders for addition.

Each card can be used more than once based on what number the spinner lands on (e.g. if using the 0-5 spinner each card can be used 5 times as there are 5 different equations that can be made).

When first using/modelling this activity you may prefer to use a whiteboard and pen to practice writing the equation before moving onto the recording sheet. (pack comes in full color or black and white – just print the pages that suit your needs best).

This pack includes:
• Teacher instructions for each game.
• 10 Spider Web cards – each card has a spider web with spiders ranging in numbers from 1-10
• 2 Sets of spinners for addition or subtraction. Spinner 1 has numbers 0-2 and spinner 2 has numbers 0-5. This allows you to differentiate based on where your students are operating at.
• I can cards showing students what they need to do for this activity during center time.
• spider counters for students to add to the card when adding spiders who are coming to play.
• Recording sheets for students to show their workings.
