Use this spider-themed activity and craftivity to work on language and writing skills in a fun way. Page 3 targets brainstorming; students must write or draw everything they know about spiders within the circle. Pages 4-6 are for writing with varying levels of support. Students take what they brainstormed about spiders and put them under the correct verbs. Pages 7-9 are for the craftivity. Students write their sentences about spiders on the spider’s legs, then cut them out and assemble the spider. Examples provided. Pages 12-25 target initial letters with reinforcer pages to target pre-writing and spelling. Pages 26-28 target categorization. Students must color all applicable pictures. Then, they hole punch the corresponding hole and weave a spider web with yarn or twine!
