Description

These Spider Web Counting Cards are an easy addition to your Math Centers or Morning Tubs. These cards will help students practice number recognition 0-20, counting, one-to-one correspondence, and number order.

To Prepare:

Choose the option you would like to print:

*1/2 sheet with numbers only (0-20)

*1/2 sheet with numbers and spider counters (0-10)

*Full sheet with numbers only (0-20)

*Full sheet with numbers and spider counters on ten frames (0-20)

I like to print mine on alternating colors so they make a pattern when they are laid in order. (Odd numbers on one color, even numbers on another color.)

Laminate, cut out, and place in center with mini spider erasers, spider rings(I cut the ring part off), or any other spider manipulative.

To Play:

Students will choose a card, look at the number displayed, and add that many spiders on the web. Two of the card options to choose from have spider counters printed on them to help students who can't identify the number yet. They can count the printed spiders to determine the number.

Understand that the last number name said tells the number of objects counted. The number of objects is the same regardless of their arrangement or the order in which they were counted.
When counting objects, say the number names in the standard order, pairing each object with one and only one number name and each number name with one and only one object.
Understand the relationship between numbers and quantities; connect counting to cardinality.
