### PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

This coordinate graphing project is fun for the student and makes a great bulletin board idea as well. This project can be used for Halloween or for the Internet. Students will use their knowledge of coordinate graphing and ordered pairs to work creating a drawing of a spider web on a post. This will be created by plotting ordered pairs and then connecting them with straight lines.

This activity can be a class project or something to be worked on independently when time allows. It also works as an extra credit assignment or when there is a substitute.

This project is for the beginning coordinate graphing student just learning to graph fractions. The graph consists of points in the first quadrant using ordered pairs with the fraction ½ being used for detail. When finished, they can use markers, colored pencils or other medium to enhance the project.

Coordinate graph paper for plotting, a coordinate list, a full sized answer key, and a sample of the completed project in color, directions for plotting coordinates and directions for plotting coordinates with fractions.

Understand that the first number indicates how far to travel from the origin in the direction of one axis, and the second number indicates how far to travel in the direction of the second axis, with the convention that the names of the two axes and the coordinates correspond (e.g., x-axis and x-coordinate, y-axis and y-coordinate).
