This is a mini literacy station which makes use of those plastic eggs that are available at this time of the year. Most young learners cannot resist doing an activity with these adorable containers.
What is in this packet?
1. A label for this station and student directions have been provided.
2. Word cards allow students to build simple sentences. A matching picture has also been included that helps to scaffold students who need additional support.
3. Mats: The word cards are placed on matching mats that help students with tracking and basic conventions of print.
4. Student Response Sheets: Students are given the opportunity to practice these skills again with matching cut and paste printables and can draw a related picture.
My students have had a blast with these and beg for more "mini" stations. As always, they are aligned to the CCSS.
Check out the other stations I have created in both math and literacy using plastic eggs.
