Students work in partners. One partner spins the tens spinner and represents that number with rods. Partner two spins the ones spinner and represents that number with units. Together they count the rods and units and write the number on their record sheet by coloring the rods and units, filling in how many tens and ones, writing the number in expanded form, and finally writing the whole number in the box.
