This is a low-prep, fun activity for beginning language learners to practice weather vocabulary. I’ve used these spinners with 1st grade through 5th and my students LOVE playing with them.
Print out the spinners (on cardstock is preferable.) Then put them in page protectors. Students use a pencil and a paper clip to spin. One partner asks “How’s the weather?” The other partner spins, answers, draws the weather with a dry erase marker. It’s great for getting lots of repetitions! This spinner also makes a great center activity or fast finisher. There are two levels and I've included copies in color and black&white.
Spanish vocabulary included in this activity:
Easy spinner - Está soleado. Está nublado. Está lluvioso. Está nevando.
Harder spinner - Está parcialmente nublado. Hace viento. Hace frío. Hace calor. + easy spinner phrases.
Spanish vocabulary varies from country to country and resource to resource. If the above doesn't match what you're teaching please contact me and I can change the spinner to the phrases you need!
