Need a fun activity for your students to complete while working on CCSS 2.MD.10 (Draw a picture graph and a bar graph (with single-unit scale) to represent a data set with up to four categories. Solve simple put-together, take-apart, and compare problems1 using information presented in a bar graph.)? Then, you've found what you're looking for.
This is an easy to put together activity. You need to print one copy of the spinner page (I print 2 or 3 copies so 2 or 3 students can be working independently at work stations). I also laminate the spinner cards for durability and to help them last longer.
Each student also needs a recording sheet to record their spins and make their graphs. There are 6 questions that ask students to analyze the data of their graphs.
