Students love to 'spin' and 'match' so we have combined these two into a fun articulation drill activity.
1 spinner and 4 Spin & Match game cards for:
Initial L, Medial L, Final L
Initial TH(vl), Medial TH(vl), Final TH(vl)
(You will need to provide tokens for covering spaces on the Spin & Match game card.)
These materials were designed for articulation practice of L, H, W, and TH(vl) words.
Select the spinner and matching game cards for the sound/position you will address.
For individual therapy you will need to select a card for the student and a card for yourself.
Begin by placing a token on the FREE space on each game card.
Take turns spinning. Name the item in the space on which the spinner stops. Cover the matching item/space on your game card.
If the spinner stops on a picture the player has already named, they should name the picture again, and play moves to the next person.
If the spinner stops on FREE, the player may choose to cover any space on his/her game card.
The goal of the game is to be the first to either cover all the items on your card or complete a row or column as in tic-tac-toe.
Adapt to the student’s level by having them produce a word, phrase, or sentence.
These were designed so that you can have students within the same group working on different sounds. Just choose the game cards and spinners to address individual needs.
