Spin, Read, Write and Graph
We love to combine ELA and Math together for some Double Duty Fun. Our children really love this activity and we hope yours will too. The more the children see a sight word (popcorn word) and work with it the faster they will commit it to memory. We use this activity in small group, centers, partner work and in our word work area.
Our RtI students have really benefited from this activity.
How to use..
Give the children a color card ,a spinner and worksheet. They are to read the word to you, then write it next to the coordinated color row on the worksheet. Spin, Read and Write until one of the rows on the graph have been filled. Then, have the students count the number of times they spun each sight word then they are to write the answer on the line next to the row.
Track your students progress with the individualized sight words tracking form included.
