Fall Into Autumn Framework Puzzle
Add some math game fun to your classroom to up your level of student engagement!
This math game uses spinners and student generated numbers to practice rounding numbers to different place values. Spin & Round is a fun way to teach rounding 3-digit, 4-digit, and 5-digit numbers in a small, teacher-led group or as a whole class. It also works well as an independent activity or center to keep rounding skills fresh.
Another benefit of games using student generated numbers is that no two students have the same numbers, increasing the need for each to do their own work, rather than copying from a friend. As a result, this is an excellent tool to assess a student’s proficiency with rounding.
You can easily differentiate by assigning different versions of the game to different students. You have 3-digit, 4-digit, and 5-digit versions to choose from, as well as a longer or shorter game (8 rows or 5 rows) of each version. Three border choices are offered: Colored Stripes, Doodler (black and white circles that students can color), and Low Distraction (a simple black border).
