This fun game can be run as a math center or with partners to practice multiplying whole numbers and fractions. Students will love the game format while they model multiplication expressions.


Student Objectives:
1. Students will represent a multiplication expression (using a whole number and fraction) using a model diagram.
2. Students will determine the product of a whole number and fraction from a model diagram.
3. Students will explain what is represented by the whole number and the fraction values in a multiplication expression.

Standards Addressed:
4.NF.4 – Apply and extend previous understanding of multiplication to multiply a fraction by a whole number.

5.NF.4 – Apply and extend previous understandings of multiplication to multiply a fraction or whole number by a fraction
