Spinner Mania is a game I created to give my students a hands on opportunity to see probability put into action.
During this game, students will be assigned a color and will collect data as they manipulate different spinners. You'll notice due to the way the spinners are designed, the projected outcome of the game is unfair because each color does not have an equal likelihood of being spun. This is done strategically to inspire meaningful conversations among students about probability and its implications.
This pack includes...
-3 differently designed spinners (2 of each on a page)
-Direction sheet for students
(I recommend laminating one per student group- 4 students play in one group)
-a recording sheet for the group to record their data during the game
-a reflection sheet/activity for students to complete individually after the game is played
