Description

This is a game to practice sight words. The first 130 words of Rebecca Sitton's list are included.

Game Directions

Students roll a die and move the number of spaces, choose

a card and read it. If they read the word correctly, they keep the card. The person with the most cards is the winner. Play can continue until all cards are used, a predetermined number of trips around the board, or after a specific time limit.

Copy the game board. Paste the 2 parts together and laminate. Copy the cards, laminate, and cut apart. 2 sets of the cards are included. One set in color and one in black and white.

RF.1.2. Demonstrate understanding of spoken words, syllables, and sounds (phonemes).

RF.2.3. Know and apply grade-level phonics and word analysis skills in decoding words.
