**Color AND black and white versions included!**
Help your students practice sight words with this fun, low-prep activity! To play this game, students choose sight word bug cards. If they are able to read the word on the card, they get to put it in their bug jar. However, if they choose a “Splat!” card, they have to put all of their cards back!
The sight words included in this game are: am, as, at, and, are, by, be, do, did, for, from, dad, go, have, has, he, here, his, her, is, look, little, mom, me, my, not, no, on, of, she, said, this, they, what, where, with, was, you, and yes.
Since this activity has a bug theme, it will be the perfect addition to your springtime or insect unit. It is also super low-prep! Just print (I recommend cardstock for durability), cut, and it’s ready to go. A color version and a black and white version of the game are included in the download. When I used it in my class, I simply printed the black and white version on bright colors of cardstock, and it was ready to go!
This game was a HIT in my class, and I know your students will love it, too!
