Spooky Halloween Sentences!
Use this all-inclusive packet to teach students about how every sentence needs a noun and a verb - and every GOOD sentence needs a noun, a verb, and an adjective!
Students will create a Halloween picture by using Adjective Moons, Verb Pumpkins, and Noun Ghosts. Just as their picture needs a moon, a pumpkin, and a ghost to be complete, their sentence needs a noun, a verb, and an adjective to be complete! They will then write a sentence to go with their illustration using that noun, verb, and adjective. HINT: These make a great bulletin board!
After students have created their Halloween pictures and sentences, you can bind them into a book to use as Spooky Story Starters for future writing projects. You can also self-publish them for use in your classroom library, or as gifts for parents, teachers, or other classrooms!
