A glyph is a representation of data in picture form. In these worksheets, students are asked to color different parts of the picture depending on what they are hearing from the music.
These glyphs are designed with specific pieces in mind, while also including two general glyphs. There are a variety of levels included, each with 3-4 things to listen for, including fast/slow, loud/soft, staccato/legato, various instruments, etc. Unfortunately, due to copyright laws, the music is not included.
The following are included:
"In the Hall of the Mountain King" by Grieg
"Hedwig's Theme" from Harry Potter
"The Funeral March" by Chopin
"Danse Macabre" by Saint-Saens
"Monster Mash" by Bobby Pickett
"Toccata and Fugue in D Minor" by Bach
"Thriller" by Michael Jackson
"The Addams Family Theme" by Charles Adams
***BONUS: Two general spooky listening glyphs for music of your choice!
