This is the third Problem Solving Math Question Set from Timber Frame Teaching. These questions were created with the Ontario Grade 2 and 3 mathematics curriculum in mind and have been linked to the Common Core.
This set includes questions to meet these curriculum expectations:
*describe probability as a measure of the likelihood that an event will occur using mathematical language (certain, more likely, equally likely, unlikely, and impossible)
*describe the probability that an event will occur through investigation
*predict the frequency of an outcome
*demonstrate an understanding of fairness in a game
Print out the cards in full colour or black and white, mount onto card stock, and laminate.
This question set is great to use for your daily Math Action problem in the 3 Part Problem Solving Lesson. Simple photocopy and paste into student Problem Solving Math Journals.
This card set can also be used for Math Work in your math centres. Once mounted on card stock, use a metal ring to hold sets together for easy access for your students when working independently.
