Are you looking for a way to add some seasonal Halloween fun to your everyday grammar practice? This file is a perfect way to assess your students' understanding of the 4 sentence types by keeping them engaged with the subject material. Students will use the idea of entering a haunted house to demonstrate that they can write a variety of sentences (statements, questions, exclamations, and commands) using the correct punctuation to create a 4-page booklet. This culminating activity makes a great (and easy!) display. It aligns to the Common Core Standard of ELA-Literacy.L.1.2.B. It is primarily suited for students in grades 2-4, but with modifications, could be appropriate for either 1st or 5th grade, as well. Who says grammar can't be fun?
Includes: 4 mini-posters, a student booklet, and tips & strategies for implementing in the classroom.
