About the activity: This is a fun, Halloween themed, way to work on sight words. This can easily be turned into a partner game. I have students switch papers and their partners choose random sight words out of a witch hat or cauldron. The partner will write one sight word in each box using a white crayon. Some students may need assistance with writing because, after all, white crayon is not apparently visible on white paper. Once each student finishes their sight word writing, they switch papers back. The students can use Halloween water colors to uncover the secret ghost sight words that lie in each box. The colors will make the white crayon pop out, just like a ghost would!
