What educators are saying

I LOVE these listening lessons! I especially love that they are movie/tv themed because the students recognize some of the songs!
My students had a lot of fun with this lesson. It was great to use around Halloween time but sneak learning and supporting music vocabulary.

Description

This lesson includes six short music listening activities designed for grades 5-8.

These listening lessons are meant as six mini-lessons, lasting approx. 10 minutes each. They can also be combined for a longer listening lesson, and would be great for a sub.

The worksheets and slides are designed to have two short answer questions and one complete sentence answer (always #3.) I encourage students to spend the most time on question number three as a way of internalizing each piece. It is my hope that they will create a personal connection with the music and a lasting memory. Please download the preview for a closer look.
