This is a great way to do a close reading with your students. First preview the questions and help the students to identify and remember key words found in the questions. Then read the passage on the PowerPoint and have students try to identify specific details from each slide. There is a number behind each slide showing number or amount of details that students may identify in the prior slide. Then work with students to answer the questions after slides have been completed. Really great to discuss author's purpose as well as how questions can help you figure out the author's purpose of a passage.
