Thanks so much for considering my spooky story prompt cards! I use these as a fun way for my students to practice narrative writing during the Halloween season. I do make sure that if they aren’t comfortable writing a spooky story, they can write a funny story or any type of story too using these cards! Some Prompts are Silly or Spooky for Kids (And as a New Englander There Is ONE Tom Brady One!)
Included are four types of prompt cards, setting, character, problem, and vocabulary. There is thirty cards for each of the prompts. At the end there is blank cards you can print off and write in your answers. Included with the cards are planner papers for planning out writing before drafting. I also have included some lined paper for drafting and writing with a little flair!
I find it helpful to read some fun stories to go with this and have included a couple suggestions inside!
Finally, there is two color versions and black and white versions of the pumpkins available for you to use in your classroom. I printed and cut the colored pumpkins on card stock paper then laminated them so they could be used year to year. You could do this too or print on plain or colored paper to show the difference! All ways look great!
