This badminton unit plan is 8 pages long. This unit plan was created using the Sport Education Model (SEM) where each student takes on a different role each day (such as a player, coach, official). The unit plan includes: list of equipment needed, unit learning objectives, explanations of each role, a 15 question cognitive test, a 3-2-1 rating scale for badminton (evaluating 6 criteria), 2 journal entry questions for fitness days, and an eight week curriculum mapping/unit plan/curriculum outline which includes Tu/Th as fitness days and the other days as badminton days. This mapping outline takes up 2 1/2 pages of the document. I enjoyed teaching the SEM and I hope more physical education teachers include it in their class in the future.
