PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

1) Antonyms
Directions for an antonym game:
-Place a stack of antonym cards in the center of the table face down. You may also add in the special sneaker cards. Give each student a copy of a tennis racquet mat (slide 3). Students will take turns drawing a card from the pile. After they name an antonym have them place the card onto the his or her mat. Be careful of the old sneaker cards, you may lose your turn or lose a card. Whoever has the most tennis balls on their racquet is the game winner.
**Contains: 2 mats, 6 special cards, and 30 pairs (60 cards)

2) Synonyms
Directions for a synonym game:
-Place a stack of synonym cards in the center of the table face down. You may also add in the special sneaker cards. Give each student a copy of a tennis racquet mat (slide 16). Students will take turns drawing a card from the pile. After they name a synonym have them place the card onto the his or her mat. Be careful of the old sneaker cards, you may lose your turn or lose a card. Whoever has the most tennis balls on their racquet is the game winner.
*Contains: 30 pairs (60 cards)

3) Synonym and Antonym fill in the blank cards
Print, laminate, and cut all cards.Have student or SLP read the word aloud. Then have students use an erasable marker and write either write an antonym or a synonym on the card. If students write a correct word, they may place on their mat.

4) Compare/Contrast
To play:
Print, cut, and laminate all cards. Have students choose a card and compare/contrast the objects or words on the cards. If the student answers correctly, they may place the card on his or her bowling mat. If the student does not answer correctly, the card goes back into the pile. Be careful of the special cards, some may award you an extra turn while others may make you lose a card. Use the Venn Diagram (slide 44) with the cards or the Venn Diagram can be used as a separate activity.
**Contains: 2 mats, 6 special cards, 30 compare/contrast word cards, and 24 compare/contrast picture cards, and one Venn diagram.

5) What Doesn't Belong
Have student or SLP read each card.
Student must determine which doesn’t belong and give an explain why.
Option 1: If student gives the correct answer, student may place card on his or her golf club mat.
Option 2: If the students give a correct answer, he or she may grab a golf object cards (slide 47-print as many as needed). The first student to collect all six cards is the game winner.
