This interdisciplinary packet is called Athletes Against Bullying. It's a series of scenarios about sportsmanship, sports, and bullying that require students to think, reflect on their choices and actions, and solve problems.
I found in my classroom that the students really enjoyed math or reading assignments when paired with something they were interested in. I had a student complain about reading all the time. I found a TPT basketball packet with reading and math problems, and he loved it.
Your packet contains two pages character development, two pages math, and three pages reading literature. It is designed to have two of each, but the second literature page has two options. One scenario was written to target the boys in your classroom and one was written to target girls. They are very similar with the same amount of questions regarding figurative language and word meaning with a similar writing assignment. You can choose to have all students do both pages or assign it by gender.
The actual portion you will give the students is 6-8 pages long.
I have included a full page for each grade level with the CCSS incorporated as well as answer sheets.
The preview above shows parts of one of the gender specific stories at the end of the literature section. The JPEG below shows a couple problems from each section rather than one full page. The file is a Publisher file so you can change names if necessary.
