This is a fun and sports themed SmartBoard activity, made using Smart Notebook, that is used to take daily attendance. I simply open this document each morning and as the students arrive, they move the baseball with their name on it to the bat that reads “present”. Once they do this, their baseball “disappears” and is no longer displayed on the board. Any names on the remaining student’s baseballs after the bell rings are marked absent for the day. This is a template that you edit once, save on your desktop, and use all year! The kids love moving their baseball each morning!
.) Click the box in the right hand corner of the baseball and select lock- then unlock.
.) Click on the now grey drop down arrow and select group-then ungroup.
.) Click on the text box inside the baseball to edit the student’s name.
.) After, hold down the shift key and select the text box and the baseball box. They should both have a black dotted line around them. Once they do, click the grey arrow in the right hand corner of the baseball’s box, and select group- then group.
.) Lastly, click the drop down menu and choose lock- allow move.
.) If you need any additional baseballs, simply right click and choose “clone” and follow the steps above to edit.
