Product Description
If you have been looking for fun, engaging math games for your students to practice their addition skills, look no further! Brought to you by Zantastic, this collection of 3 sports themed math games focuses on simple addition skills. He Shoots, He Scores* is a hockey themed game which requires students to add numbers up to sums of 12. Tens to Touchdown is a football themed game in which students need to combine 2 addends to make sums of ten, while moving backward from 50 (by tens) to 0. Slam Dunk Doubles is a basketball themed game which requires students to double numbers 1-6.

While perfect for a 1st grade classroom with students beginning to add, the Sports theme is also a high interest activity for older students that are struggling with basic math skills.

Designed with simplicity in mind, each game requires only ordinary six-sided dice. All 3 games are also simple enough that with one demonstration, students should be able to play these games with a partner independently. Instructions are printed on each game board to provide direction.

Student engagement is so important for learning. These games are high interest activities that especially appeal to kids that love sports.

Thank you so much for your interest! I hope your students enjoy playing these games as much as mine do. As always, if you have any suggestions on how I can improve any of my products, I look forward to your input.

*Please note that the title "He Shoots, He Scores" is not meant to be gender specific in any way. It is simply a famous hockey phrase first spoken by Canadian sports announcer Foster Hewitt in 1922.
