This is just a fun little game I play with my students to help to review and practice the recognition of 2-D and 3-D shapes. The teacher challenges students to “spot and swat” the fly with the shape that has been called on it. (Note: you will need to purchase a fly swatter. It is not included in this download.) After the children
have played it as a full group game a few times, I have put it in a center for them to use as well.
It is common core aligned and covers these standards:
K.G.2 I can name my shapes.
K.G.3 I can tell a 2-D shape from a 3-D shape.
K.G.4 I can analyze and compare different shapes and use my words to describe the similarities and differences.
